Total Development Weekend, April 28-30, 2011---Our 18th Year
WOW! Another Total Development Weekend has come and gone and if you weren t there, you really missed it! How
can every year get better Probably because of the council that prepares this fabulous continuing education
getaway. ODHA was especially pleased to host a visit from ADHA President, Caryn Solie. President Solie
participated in our events all weekend, adding to the memorable impact of the weekend.
With near record attendance and a full slot of outstanding speakers, Sandy Brado, Sandy Winchell and Katie
Camp, the main thrust of the Council, had this year s meeting running like a fine tuned engine. Registration
was handled with the help of Patti Milam and Sharon Christiansen and people just kept coming in to register.
Why not! This weekend offered everything that an inquisitive hygienist could possibly want, plus, fun
with friends. It also offered an office medical emergency course and CPR to make sure that we are ready
as we prepare for OHASP and nitrous administration. Great courses, good food and time for rest, renewal
and realization. If you missed it, I m really sorry, but there is always next year. As usual, the
Exhibitors' Extravaganza was fabulous and the hats put us in a playful spirit. Many thanks to Sandy Brado
and Karla McNutt for providing us with such a variety of exhibitors. It was fun!
We hope to see everyone next year, at Cherry Valley Lodge, during the weekend of May 3, 4 and 5, 2012.
Thanks for allowing me to pretend to chair this Council. It was a good experience and I am looking forward
to helping again next year.
